Enju Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Enju Discord bot, Enju website, Enju web dashboard, public reaction-image API and gallery, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using Enju, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Discord Terms
You must be permitted to use Discord and comply with Discord’s applicable Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Policies, and other applicable platform rules. Enju is an independent application and is not endorsed, sponsored, or operated by Discord Inc.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use Enju only for lawful purposes and its intended bot, dashboard, API, entertainment, moderation, automation, and server-management features. You must not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, evade restrictions or moderation controls, abuse rate limits, distribute malware, harass others, or use Enju to violate applicable law or the rights of others.
3. Server Administration and Configured Content
Certain dashboard features are available only to users with appropriate Discord server permissions. Server owners and administrators are responsible for the settings, permissions, announcements, scheduled commands, server expressions, Global Expression overrides, automated messages, moderation settings, and other content they configure or cause Enju to publish in their communities.
Enju may provide owner-only administration, diagnostics, recovery, import/export, and bulk-management tools. Users of those tools are responsible for reviewing changes before applying them and for keeping exported recovery or diagnostic files secure.
4. User Content, Reaction Images, and Uploads
You are responsible for content you submit through Discord or the Enju dashboard, including text, images, reaction-image submissions, expression responses, embeds, and other configured content. You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit that content.
You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, malicious, sexually exploitative, intentionally deceptive, designed to compromise systems, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or Discord policies.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content to Enju, you grant the operator of Enju a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, resize or transform as technically necessary, display, transmit, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, back up, and provide the Service. For approved reaction images, this includes display and delivery through Enju’s reaction-image features, public gallery, and public API.
5. Reaction-Image Moderation and Submission Restrictions
Reaction-image submissions may be reviewed, approved, rejected, removed, or otherwise moderated. Approval is not guaranteed. Enju may retain reasonable moderation records concerning submissions even if an image itself is rejected or later removed.
A user may be temporarily or permanently blocked from creating new reaction-image submissions when reasonably necessary to address abuse, repeated policy violations, spam, security concerns, or moderation needs. A reaction-image submission restriction does not necessarily prohibit that user from using unrelated Enju features.
6. Commands, Expressions, Automation, and API Use
Commands, expressions, announcements, scheduled messages, API requests, and automated features remain subject to Discord permissions, Enju permissions, rate limits, maintenance controls, and other technical restrictions. Enju may block, disable, limit, or change commands, expressions, API access, or automated features to protect the Service or its users.
Global Expressions may operate across multiple Discord servers unless a server disables them or uses supported override behavior. Server administrators remain responsible for determining whether those features are appropriate for their communities.
7. Availability, Data, Backups, and Changes
Enju is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent storage of user or server data, or recovery of deleted or lost content.
Backups, snapshots, recovery exports, diagnostics, and other operational tools are provided for convenience and service administration. They are not a guarantee against data loss.
8. Suspension, Moderation, and Termination
Access to some or all of Enju may be limited, suspended, or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, Discord users, third parties, infrastructure, or to address abuse, security concerns, legal obligations, platform requirements, or violations of these Terms.
9. Third-Party Services
Enju integrates with Discord and may rely on hosting, networking, security, content-delivery, or other third-party infrastructure. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Enju is not responsible for third-party availability, outages, policy changes, or conduct.
10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Enju is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The operator of Enju will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service, loss of data, third-party conduct, server configuration, or user-submitted content.
11. Privacy
Use of Enju is also subject to the Enju Privacy Policy, which explains the information processed by the Service, operational analytics and moderation records, retention practices, and how users may request deletion or correction.
12. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when Enju’s features, data practices, legal obligations, infrastructure, or platform requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its updated date. Continued use of the Service after an updated version is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
